The International University of East Africa (IUEA) ambassador Hassan Alwi gets into the Eastern Motor Club organised EMC rally focused on duplicating the 2020 results.
Alwi won the 2020 rally navigated by Joseph Kamya in a Subaru N14 beating a strong opposition from elite drivers including; Duncan Mubiru, Ronald Sebuguzi, Peter Kalule and Jonas Kansiime who he had beaten in 2018 Kabalega rally in Hoima.
He beat stiff opposition from Arthur Blick Jr, Ponsiano Lwakataka and Kephar Walubi.
Alwi driving his new monster Ford Fiesta proto with Subaru Specs will be out to challenge National Rally Championship table leader Ronald Sebuguzi and Musa Ssegaabwe.
The event that starts on Thursday July 10,2025 with the documentation, will later head to Jinja on Friday for the three morning stages and then the Super Special Stage at Across the Nile IUEA campus.
They will then head for the night section and then the following day on Saturday head to Kayunga where the rally will end.
The rally which is the fourth round of the National Rally Championship is sponsored by Kenya Commercial Bank Uganda, Stabex fuel company and Hon. Amos Lugolobi the state minister for finance and has attracted a record 52 crews, seven more than the 2020 entries.
