The long awaited Kabalega Rally has been launched and the battle grounds defined.
Three crews including Jas Mangat navigated by Enock Olinga in a Hyundai i20, Ronald Sebuguzi co-driven by Anthony Mugambwa in a Ford Fiesta pro and Dr. Moustapha Mukasa navigated by Lawrence Mwambazi in a Mitsubishi Evo9 all have their eyes on the 2024 Kabalega rally.
Graced by the deputy Omuhikira of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom, Apollo Rwamparo , the rally in its fifth edition will be held in the districts of Hoima and Kikuube.
Rwamparo said that Bunyoro is more than ready to host the rally and the kingdom will always support the event.
“As a kingdom we have always supported the Kabalega rally and we are more than ready to work with UMOSPOC and MOSAC to have a successful event,” Rwamparo said.
Clerk of the course Charles Dick Ssemengo explained that he will run eight stages in the two day rally on that start with the two stages and then the super special stage at Kontik Hotel.
Vision Group under its Kabalega Radio fm flagship will promote the event in the Bunyoro Kitara region, Worldwide Movers, Kontik Hotel, Kabalega Resort hotel and Mika Resort Hotel are the other corporates that are bankrolling the 2024 Kabalega Rally.
The event that starts on Friday with checking of cars and drivers documentations brings life in the Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom communities as the residents makes money by selling their harvest.
This keeps the Omukama’s legacy alive forever.
