The 2026 motorsport Calendar promises to be bgger and beter organised tha ever before.
This follows a series of capacity building training workshops organised by the Federation of Motorsports of Uganda (FMU) to uplift the standard of the officials to match the level of competition and global standards.
On Saturday Febuary 28,2026 over 50 officials were trained in the field of Stewards, Clerk of the Course (COC), Competitor Relations officers (CRO) ahead of the competition calendar that kick off on March 1,2026 with the Autocross in Cissa Wakiso district.

The one Day training workshop at Kati-Kati Restaurant was facilited by FIA instructors David Bitalo, Kisitu Mayanja and Sporting Commission Chairman Leon ssenyange.
The training also equipped the officials with knowledge on preparation to officiate at an event, how to handle the petitions, communication skills and managing the event.
The stewards include Dr. Ashraf Ahmed the MOSAC vice president, Stuart Mutebi, the vice president Uganda Motor Club, Christher Lubega, Joe Burua, Godfrey Mayanja of SMC and UMOSPOC president Mr. Were Johnson
David Bitalo the facilitator who took the officials through the roles and duties of the Stewards also taught them how to write reports after the event.
“This is a very good gesture for FMU and it should stay consistent because such trainings have been missing. I for one in UMOSPOC we have not been getting these reports be it getting the opportunity to seat with the stewards to review our performance after the Kabalega rally,” Mr. Were said.
