Uganda continued to show supremacy in the Eastern Africa region by winning the 2025 FIM Central Africa Motocross Championship (FIM CAC).
The second leg of the regional championship was held on Saturday and Sunday in Naivasha Kenya where Uganda scooped all the individual titles and overall championship crown.
The event which was the 20th edition had Uganda dominate all the classes winning its 12th title of the region.

Uganda did not only win more accolades but also registered the highest number of participants in the championship that Tanzania and hosts Kenya as the other participants.
Team captain Fatuh Kiggundu attributed the victory to teamwork and dedication of the riders.
“We arrived here when the track was not there finished for us to train, but on Saturday morning we practiced and then took on our opponents with the agenda of defending our title which we did,” Fatuh said.
“We are now returning home to train hard because the first leg is likely to be held in February and defending this title is our main focus,” he added.

Ethan Musede emerged the 65cc regional champion with his brother Jude Kyle Musede winning the silver.
In the 50cc class Abigail Katende emerged winner, with Kenya’s Jayden Ozzie coming second and Abigail Muwanguzi coming third.

The three-Day event started with the FIM medical training that saw Uganda commended for the step ahead taken in the fostering of safety of the athletes and the anti-doping in Motorcycling.
The Uganda medical team was represented by Dr. Derrick Oketch of the FMU medical commission.
Meanwhile next year, FIM has proposed four legs for the FIM CAC with the four affiliated Fim Countries, Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan and Rwanda each hosting one leg.
This will come with a bigger budget which calls for government increment on the funding of Motorsport from sh3b to at least sh5b.
