Three-time National Rally Champion Ronald Sebuguzi, Jas Mangat, and defending champion Yasin Nasser are the three rally drivers that may win this year’s silverware.
However, there is no guarantee that either of them will win it. Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru driving a Ford Fiesta Proto, Hassan Alwi driving a Subaru N14, and 2022 National champion Byron Rugomoka are all targeting the same silverware.

With rumours of another R5Car jetting in the country soon, the battle for the 2024 crown is set to be tougher and gruelling than ever before and the winner will leave the battleground bruised.
The battle for the most prestigious motorsport crown in the country started with the Mbarara rally on February 9-11,2024 in the western part of the country.
Over 35 crews including, Ali Omar Yasser, WO1 Ismail Lule Isa Nyanzi, Byron Rugomoka, Ponsiano Lwakataka, Ibrahim Lubega, Oscar Ntambi, Joshua Muwanguzi are also targeting the same title.
Mbarara has been known for drivers unleashing their new machines.

It is unfortunate this time the crews will not do that, but scoring the same points for both SPVs and FIA homologated cars is what will make this year’s championship a miss not starting with the Mbarara rally.
Unlike in the past when drivers with homologated cars could get 10-15 points higher than those with non-homologated cars get, this time it will be square out.
If you win an event you get 50 points regardless of the car you are driving.
END.
